The Keane’s Barbecue story
Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering brings the bold, authentic flavors of wood-fired cooking to weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across Southern New England. Founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife team Padraic and Kaylyn Keane, the company has become a trusted catering partner known for exceptional food, outstanding customer service, and an elevated barbecue dining experience.
Padraic’s passion for hospitality began in his family’s village pub in Galway, Ireland, where he learned the foundations of entrepreneurship and the value of genuine, reliable service. After moving to the U.S. in 2015, he discovered a passion for traditional southern barbecue building his first smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence—and turned that spark into a thriving business.
From catering their very first event at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown to opening their state-of-the-art facility on Warwick Avenue in 2023, Keane’s has continued to grow its reputation for exceptional quality and seamless service. Today, the team—supported by Chef Esteban Gonzalez and Events Managers Kym Gardner and Alicia Cappellan—specializes in smoked meats, seasonal sides, house-made pickles and sauces, and full-service catering options including curated bar services, coffee, desserts, rentals, and more.
